About the restaurant

The Palomar was among the first wave of restaurants to make full use of small dining rooms with a bar counter wrapped around its open kitchen, making it perfect for a quick lunch or a date night. It’s always popular, so be prepared to queue if you haven’t snagged a reservation.

The restaurant was founded by Layo and Zoë Paskin, who started in nightlife and events before turning their hands to restaurants. After the success of The Palomar, they later expanded their restaurant empire with the additions of The Barbary, The Blue Posts and Evelyn’s Table, all in and around Soho.

The food here is inspired by classic dishes of Tel Aviv and elsewhere in Israel, and also informed more broadly by the vibrant food culture and common dishes of the Levant and the Eastern Mediterranean. Expect incredible falafel, fattoush salad, pillowy-soft flatbreads and grilled meats.
