About the restaurant

The Barbary is the second opening from the successful Palomar Group, run by Layo and Zoë Paskin. It built on the success of The Palomar in Soho by opening The Barbary, and then later The Blue Posts and Evelyn’s Table.

The action takes place in a small dining room in the iconic and historic Neal’s Yard in Covent Garden. A small open kitchen acts as the room’s centrepiece, with plenty of seating around the counter to enjoy the action up close.

The Barbary is inspired by the cuisine and culture of Berbers, the early settlers to the Atlas Mountains in North Africa, as well as flavours from around the Mediterranean. Charcoal grilling is central to the menu’s smoky flavours, with plenty of grilled meats and vegetables alongside Levantine-inspired dishes like fattoush salad and falafel.
