About the restaurant

With venues to their name, including Gymkhana and Trishna, the Sethi family’s JKS group knows a thing or two about opening successful modern Indian restaurants. Brigadiers keeps the modern feel of the group’s fine-dining restaurants in its cooking but makes it a more casual offering.

The atmosphere at this restaurant and bar in Bloomberg Arcade is in keeping with the part of town it’s in, feeling more boisterous than the former two restaurants, with a regular programme of events and entertainment that includes live sport.

The kitchen serves delicious grilled meats and classic Indian street food meant for sharing, from classic chaat dishes right the way up to a suckling lamb biryani for large groups. Alongside the biryani dishes (also available in one-person sizes), kebabs are always popular, while its lamb chops are up there with the best in London.

The Infatuation

This a restaurant that deals in options. Looking to have a drink, and a snack or two? Grab a seat at the bar, order a drink, and get some butter chicken wings. Oh, and some chicken skins as well.

The Guardian

This is a big-fisted Indian restaurant priced for those investment bankers looking for a crafty midweek meal which will repeat on them constantly between trades the next day.

Time Out

The star dish had Indo-Chinese leanings. Four dinky lettuce wraps, piled high with tender morsels of fragrant chicken, then smothered in a warm, tangy sauce, crispy onions, a dollop of yoghurt and a sprinkle of sesame seeds. Fusion perfection.

The Nudge

Inspired by the opulent Indian mess halls where the military go to socialise, sip beers, and chow down on army grubwhole suckling lamb biryani, Brigadiers has taken up residence in a sizeable chunk of the City’s new Bloomberg Arcade development.
