About the restaurant

Blacklock City follows the group’s first restaurant in Soho and second in Shoreditch, and is known for providing seriously good value among its big-hitting steaks, chops and cocktails. Blacklock City, fittingly, is located in the site of a former meat market, with an underground dining room that’s similar to its original Soho site.

The exquisite, grass-fed, native-breed meat served at Blacklock comes from butcher Philip Warren, which has been family-owned since 1880 and rears livestock on a network of small farms in Cornwall.

The best way to eat at Blacklock is ordering the All In feast. Priced at £20 per person, it includes starters, lamb, beef and pork chops served with flatbread, and a side. Of similarly great value is the cocktail trolley, which serves negronis, old fashioneds and more for just £5 each.

Time Out

it’s hard not to like the place. There’s a range of cocktails for a fiver each, a set menu for £20 per head and top quality chops of meat for four quid a pop.

Standard

It seats almost double the number of people that the original does, offers reservations for both lunch and dinner, and thanks to enlarged kitchen and prep space is also able to offer a larger menu

The Nudge

There are all the Blacklock staples here (‘skinny’ beef sirloin, pork rib/loin/belly, lamb T-bone, etc.), as well as the huge pork tomahawk, and bone-in sirloin
