About the restaurant

Located on a quiet backstreet in Chelsea, The Five Fields is a great spot for a long lunch or dinner. Classic Michelin-starred ambient, crisp white tablecloths and comfy chairs make this a reliably luxurious hangout.

The restaurant is headed up by Taylor Bonnyman, a born-and-bred Londoner who cut his teeth in kitchens across the UK, France and New York, for chefs including Pierre Gagnaire and Marcus Wareing, before opening The Five Fields in 2013.

Bonnyman’s food is all about an internationally influenced approach to British ingredients, focusing on game and in-season British meats and vegetables. The tasting menu costs £120, with an optional £95 wine pairing. If you want to push the boat out, a Prestige wine pairing is available at £145.

Time Out

Stunningly inventive cooking in Chelsea, showcasing the best of British produce from garden, pasture and sea.

The Nudge

The food – which comes in the form of either a 3 course menu with six starter, main and dessert options; or an 8 course tasting menu – changes constantly depending on the freshness of stock from their Sussex kitchen garden.

Standard

The name of the restaurant is a couple of acres historic — in the 18th-century, cartographer John Rocque recorded the local area as Five Fields — and the rest directional: vegetables and herbs are cultivated in the restaurant’s own gardens in East Sussex.

The Telegraph

Expect culinary wizardry and customers who conform to the local stereotype at The Five Fields in Chelsea.
